US NAVY VS. CHINESE NAVY
It has become something of a national fear that the Chinese Navy has outstripped our American counterpart in strength. Several military analysts within the past few years have offered their own opinions about this very topic, with varying degrees of similarity. The prevailing opinion is while Chinese lack the same level of weaponry as Americans possess, they make up for it in numerical strength. This is false.
The Chinese have a larger navy in a numerical sense, but pound for pound, quality versus quality, American naval vessels outclass their Chinese counterparts and then some. They are larger than those of the Chinese, and they are better armed than the Chinese vessels. Here is a link that adds more detailed information on such a topic.
